Update on discolored water near the 68th Ave Bridge in the Kenmore, Inglewood Area - 7/2/2020: Due to construction on the bridge and new watermain tie-ins, some customers are experiencing discolored water.
What is the discoloration? While unpleasant, the discoloration is not harmful. Slight amounts of sediment existing in the water pipes can be disturbed in situations like this.
What are we doing about it? Crews are currently on site and flushing the water main to remove the discoloration.
Are you still experiencing this issue? Flush with COLD water only for 5-10 minutes from a bathtub or outside hose bib. If water still does not run clear, let your system sit for 30 minutes and try flushing again. Please contact us if the problem persists at (425) 398-4403.
